This morning while I was helping Meirah get ready for the day we had a conversation about clothes and beauty. She gets hung up on clothes and looking just right so we have been telling her that clothes are just fun to wear and that she makes the clothes beautiful. This morning she was very pleased to be wearing her favorite outfit, a twirly pink skirt and matching top, and so she recited back to me, "Mama, clothes are fun to wear but I make them beautiful." I confirmed this with her and also reminded her that she was not just beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well.
Her response: "That's right....my panties are beautiful too." I think we will need to work on the that concept some more :)
