Achievements

Eliana's reading skills continue to blossom. She earned her 100 AR (accelerated reader) point certificate and has in fact over 120 points as of this week. Last I checked on the AR board at her school there were only a handful of 1st graders that had accomplished this so far this year. She has really discovered that reading can be a lot fun!!

Now to work on those math skills.......

She was also invited to the Kindness Kid breakfast this month with her school's principal. Teachers nominate kids each month when they catch them going above and beyond for their classmates, other students, teachers or staff. They then get to eat breakfast with the principal and apparently they also get a little box of frosted flakes with their principals face on it!! I have to admit this made me giggle....

Her teacher nominated her for: "Always being willing to help others in the classroom. She is a good friend reading to and with others. She lets an adult know if classmates are crying or very unhappy."

We certainly are proud of the Boo.
