Waiting

As everyone is well aware, we were not able to move this past Friday because the mortgage company that owns the house did not have all of the paperwork ready. Very disappointing to say the least. We now have to deal with the pile of boxes for one more week and a very busy and stressful two days in the middle of the work week this upcoming week as we have to load the truck Tuesday night, close on the house Wednesday at two and then rush to unload the truck afterwards. We might be able to round up a couple people to help but it certainly won't be the group we had lined up and we found this all out on Tuesday....after we had packed everything over the weekend. I mean everything....clothes, food..everything. At least the weather has turned nice...we spent all of today outside enjoying the sunshine and counting down the days. We actually went to the house to day to visit it and see more of the yard since most of the snow had melted. It was nice to sit on the deck and watch the girls play in the yard while Andrew scoped out potential tree house trees. We also discovered a very nice landscaped fire pit in the back yard and the girls have claimed two small lawn ornament deer as their own and begged me not to get rid of them (Andrew had forewarned them of my dislike of lawn ornaments!!). I told them we could move them to the side yard for now :).
Stuff waiting to be boxed and packed...
boxes..... Oh look, more boxes.
A big box and a very superior cat.
We got a big snow storm two weeks ago which did not help in the least. All of the girls' toys have been packed and because of the unseasonably cold temps and a big storm they have been stuck in the house. The big pile of boxes have been a temptation and keeping them off of them has been a struggle.
We went to an Easter Egg hunt down at the water front today. The weather was wonderful and the girls had a blast. The eggs were filled with candy, savings bonds and they also gave away three bikes. In true Wark tradition, the girls won nothing but chocolate!!! We ate a free luch, played at the lake shore for a little while and then went to the house. My camera batteries died too so I only got a few pictures of the beginning.
This evening we will dye eggs and eat the first grilled meal of the season!!

Oh joy of moving. Does it ever go smoothly? Just make sure you keep an eye on Andrew and don't let him take off running anywhere. I am sure he can fill in all the details. :)
