Proof

Green grass a growing!!! Yeah!! We went to Duluth for my soon to be sister- in- law's wedding shower and when we got back we played outside for awhile because it was another beautiful day. As I was sitting on the lawn watching the girls run around I glanced down and saw this wonderful sight....two months from now I probably won't love it so much because it will mean we will have to drag out the mower but for now it means there is no more snow on the ground (except for this last hold out but but I will be gleefully watching tomorrow as the thunderstorm headed our way washes it away!)

Mimi took the Barbi Jeep out for a spin today, her first time behind the wheel. She turned on the tunes and took off..unfortunately she doesn't get the concept of steering. She frequently ran into various objects in the yard including but not limited to a tree, her sister, the swing set and the house. She also tried to go off roading but because she weighs 26 pounds dripping wet the jeep wheels just spun on the wet, long grass. Ellie tried to figure out how to get her out but was not successful so I had to go rescue her...maybe we need to get Ellie a battery operated tow truck so she can just follow Mimi around just in case.

Ellie jumped in and took them for a spin around the yard. The Jeep has a lever to adjust the speed as it goes slow, fast and backwards. She got behind the wheel and said, "Papa, how do we go fast?"...ahhhh a girl after my own heart!! Before we know it we will be paying for her first speeding ticket (right Dad?) . Though a fast driver, she appears to be safety conscious..here she was telling Mimi that she had to focus on the driving...maybe Mimi had the radio up too loud.

A Few other things warm Spring days are good for: pacing off a new garden, frisking in the dirt (if you're a cat) and setting boobie traps.....yes that's what Ellie is doing. She wasn't sure what she was going to trap...hopefully not her little sister!

Happy Spring!!!
