The pumpkin patch we always visit here in Bemidji was not open this year and maybe not ever again. We were very disappointed as we looked forward to the corn maze, horse drawn wagon rides and of course the pumpkins. I heard about a farm in Grand Rapids that was open to the public and grew a pumpkin patch every year so we decided to check it out.
First up was a tractor trailer ride into the field where we were able to feed the cows. Meirah was not so impressed with the big tongues coming at her from every direction but what else could you expect from a girl who wears pearls to a farm!
There were some other animals to visit in the barn...Ellie was bitten by a bunny and took that pretty hard. I think she felt betrayed!
The swing in the hay barn was a hit and directly behind it was maze made out of big round bales.
They, of course, loved making friends with some of the horses in the pasture.
There was also a 10 acre corn maze but because it was 70 degrees that day we only walked through a portion of it. All in all it was a nice way to spend a beautiful fall day.
