Goings on

Eliana had her second birthday party yesterday at a local hotel pool. She was able to invite some of her friends from school to have cake with her and then go crazy for two hours...or that's what it felt like to have all of those first grade girls in one small location. Plus side is all that crazy wasn't at my house!!!!

Singing and eating.
More presents!!

Pool Time!!
We have been having some amazing weather up here (aside from the snow three weeks ago but hey, it IS MN). All of us have been taking advantage of the wonderful early spring. The girls had a tea party last weekend and Andrew did what he loves...digging in the dirt. The downside: our huge lawn was in need of a mow already but we tackled it this week and it looks so nice mowed.
Today was actually pretty warm so instead of doing housework the girls and I headed to the beach. Andrew does his big run of the week on Sunday so he joined us later (well, after we went and rescued him. A 22 mile run on a hot day is pretty brutal.) We did go get groceries before we went to the beach and it felt like summer already with all of the watermelons and corn on the cob in the stores. We picked up a watermelon that was delicious and ate a bunch while at the beach.

The water was still pretty chilly (only a month ago the lake was covered in ice) but the 80 degree weather we are expecting all this week will jump start the warming process. This beach is on a nice lake that is only a few miles from our house so I expect we will be frequent visitors!!!
