Due to the low low interest rates and Obama's new home buyer tax credit we decided to check out a few homes. We looked at a foreclosure just down the street from us but decided it was not the house for us. Today we looked at these two:
and
We really liked the first house, the lay out was great and the master bedroom has a huge walk in closet and a jacuzzi tub. It's in a new development though and it all by it's lonesome in a big sandy field. Even though there are almost 4 acres that come with the house there is not a single tree on the property. The plus though is that the builder would possible even take our trailer in on trade we would not have to deal with selling it.
The second house is in an established development just up the street from Eliana's school. It had more square footage, an upstairs and downstairs and a walk out family room. It costs quite a bit more and the bedrooms were really small.
With both of these homes, and any home we buy in a development, there will be covenants, of which Andrew has a problem with because he essentially wants a farm.
Tomorrow we will be seeing another foreclosure:
This home is on 5 wooded acres but is in Hubbard county, probably 15 minutes or more from Eliana's school. It is also almost ten years old and is an "as is" sale so I guess we will see. More later!!!

Don't be afraid to take your time. The market isn't done dropping yet and you will find what you want sooner or later.
